About the Role

Harman X is seeking a talented and motivated Technical Support Engineer. HARMAN X is the corporate research division that focuses on advanced technology development for applications across all Harman product lines including Automotive, Lifestyle (consumer), and Professional. You will work with an advanced real-time data collection platform in lab simulators and in vehicles which involves acquiring images, videos, ECG, EEG and other Biosignals to support the Machine Learning for our next generation driver monitoring systems.



This position will be located in Yerevan, Armenia, where the successful candidate will have access to world class tools and facilities.

Your Team

This position has no direct reports.

What You Will Do

  • Participate in a project to collect neurophysiological data in lab simulators and vehicles located all over the world.
  • Provide monitoring of the data collection process and data transfer to cloud storages and computing nodes (the total number of simulators is up to 10, more than 150 experiments per week, each experiment is 1 TB).
  • Provide technical support for operators.
  • Detect failures in the operation of physical/virtual/cloud resources, network equipment, operating systems, SW applications and various HW.
  • Create defect reports and escalate to SW development team.
  • Solve incidents, and participate in project development activities.
  • Resolve outages based on defined processes and product knowledge.
  • Provide shift based 24/7 on-call support.
  • The department operates 24/7, on a "rolling schedule" (morning/evening/night) - 3 shifts of 9 hours (8 hours of work+1 hour of lunch) and 1 day off. Equal number of shifts during the day, evening, and night;
  • Hybrid , if necessary - from the office.

What You Need

  • • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or similar
  • • 2+ in IT industry, Work as a system engineer (administrator)
  • • Experience working with network technologies, troubleshooting, etc.
  • • Strong skills in Linux/Windows administration
  • • Experience in scripting languages (shell, Python)
  • • Experience in monitoring systems (Zabbix)
  • • Knowledge of AWS Cloud, Docker is big plus
  • • Strong English skills as you will be communicating daily with US based team members
  • • Great communication skills
